From our Needs Assessment survey (June - September), we received survey responses from 83% of Allegheny Dwellings residents. We learned that most residents would like private entrances, townhomes and would like to live in mixed income neighborhoods.
We heard from broader community members that they wanted to preserve the views, walkability and connections via steps
Definitions:
Townhomes: typically have private entrances, single family home (only one family lives here)
Stacked Townhomes: more than 1 private entrance, 2-3 families live here, similar to duplexes or triplexes
Multifamily/Apartment Building: apartments over 3 stories will need elevator,
Mixed Use Buildings: has a commercial/community space on the first floor (could be used for community space, stores, afterschool programs, daycares, etc.) and apartments above
Goal of this meeting is to discuss density (how many people live in the area) and building structures
